Blythe Bonnaffons

Blythe is a musician and teacher in Silver Spring, Maryland, offering in-home and online flute lessons to students ages 6 and up.

Originally from New York, Blythe has worked in public schools at the secondary and elementary level, taught in community music schools and arts camps, and has worked with various organizations that provide free music education to students in need. Outside of the US, she has worked with El Sinem as a visiting artist in Costa Rica and she lived for a year in Egypt, teaching general music at an international school in Cairo.

Blythe has studied flute in Austria at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, and holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Education degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She is a member of the National Flute Association and the Suzuki Association of the Americas, having completed training in ECC, and Suzuki Flute Books 1, 2, and 3.
